Sexism and Racism: The Voice of Future Health Professionals of the Unified Health System – SUS
Course description
This course proposes a reflection on social research, gender and race, based on the experiences lived by students in health courses, with the aim of proposing actions, strategies and programs for health promotion and disease prevention for this audience from the perspective of equity and respect for the diversity of the Brazilian population and public health.
Objectives
- Analyze the relationships between social research, gender and race in the context of experiences lived by students in health courses.
- Critically reflect on gender and racial inequalities and their impacts on health, illness and care processes from a public health perspective.
- Discuss actions, strategies and programs for health promotion and disease prevention aimed at students in the health field, based on principles of equity and respect for diversity in the Brazilian population.
