Online Course on Introduction to Scientific Research
Course description
This course aims to improve Information Literacy among the UFSCar user community and the external community, developing knowledge and skills for the critical, conscious, and ethical use of information sources, tools, and resources in the field of research and academic work preparation.
Throughout four modules, topics related to information sources and search strategies, research ethics and academic standards, scientific data and research management, as well as resources for scientific dissemination, will be addressed.
Objectives
- Develop research and information evaluation skills, using different sources, resources, and search strategies.
- Develop skills for organizing and managing research information and data, contributing to the creation, preservation, sharing, and reuse of content.
- Promote the ethical and responsible use of information, considering principles of academic integrity, copyright, plagiarism, citations, and standards for scientific papers.
- Increase the visibility and dissemination of scientific production, using digital resources and identifiers and developing a critical attitude toward scientific information.
