Special Education: history, policies and practices
Course description
The course seeks to provide introductory knowledge about the historical, political, and practical aspects of Special Education. Likewise, it intends to deconstruct some aspects related to previous prejudices towards people with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and high abilities/giftedness in order to try to recognize their differences and their potentialities.
