This course aims to support injectable practice in health services, focusing on the preparation and safe handling of injectables according to the principles of biosafety, control, and prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
Objectives
- Understand injectable medication practices using aseptic technique.
- Understand the importance of using sterile and disposable materials for each injectable procedure.
- Carry out a critical assessment for the use of personal protective equipment for your safety.
- Identify, in your work environment, preventive and control resources for the transmission of pathogens and contaminants, such as hand hygiene and the care flow for victims of sharps injuries.
